$90 million to help Australians live longer and healthier lives

The Australian Government is opening two medical research grant rounds, worth $90 million to help accelerate Australian-led genomics and cardiovascular research.

Up to $56 million is available from the MRFF’s Genomics Health Futures Mission for research that aims to:

  • provide grants of financial assistance to support Australian genomics research and medical innovation projects to improve the health and wellbeing of Australians

Up to $34 million is available from the MRFF’s Cardiovascular Health Mission for research that aims to:

  • support both large-scale interdisciplinary research and early stage, small scale research projects that seek to assess the potential and feasibility of novel strategies to address critical or intractable health issues.
