$30 million to support key areas of medical research

The Australian Government is investing up to $30 million in health and medical research to help bring ground-breaking discoveries to fruition. Funding is from the Medical Research Future Fund.

The MRFF’s Emerging Priorities and Consumer-Driven Research initiative will provide up to $20 million for research to improve health care for children and adolescents with musculoskeletal conditions. Funding is available over four years from 2021-2022.

$10 million is available from the MRFF’s Research Data Infrastructure initiative for projects that use information or novel methods to answer important health questions.
