2021-22 Budget investment for medical research

The Australian Government has announced an investment of $2.6 billion over the next four years for the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) in the 2021-22 Federal Budget. This continued investment will help drive innovation, improve health outcomes, and create jobs.

The Budget includes 65 research projects that will receive $115.3 million under the MRFF and start in 2020-21.

These projects will lead to better treatments and quality of life for Australians suffering from a wide range of conditions. They will also contribute to the international battle against COVID-19.
