$15 million to support innovative therapies for mental illness
The Australian Government has announced a $15 million competitive grant round to kick start clinical trials exploring the use of combination therapies to treat mental illnesses.

It is estimated that four million Australians experience a mental health disorder every year. Almost half of all Australians will be affected by a mental illness at some point in their lifetime.
The Clinical Trials Activity initiative will support research into the use of innovative therapies to combat illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction disorders and eating disorders.
This is an initiative of the Medical Research Future Fund.
