$14.8 million for innovative mental health clinical trials

Seven clinical trials will share $14.8 million to test the use of combination therapies to treat debilitating mental illnesses. Funding is from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

Around four million Australians experience a mental health disorder every year. Not all patients achieve good results from standard treatments.

The Australian Government is supporting seven innovative clinical trials to help people with persistent mental illnesses such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and eating disorders.

Funding is from the MRFF’s Clinical Trials Activity initiative
