What the reform is about
We are modernising Part B in line with the changes to the rest of the Prescribed List.
How we will achieve this
There are two initiatives to modernise Part B:
- Revise the classification structure;
- Introduce health technology assessment for human tissue products.
We have and will continue to work with relevant stakeholders to progress this reform measure.
Timeline
We have published stakeholder feedback analysis report. This report captures stakeholder feedback and our response to each of the 10 recommendations on the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ final report.
Please note the use of previous terminology – Prostheses List/prostheses.
We aim to implement each recommendation before the end of the PL reform period.
