About donovanosis
Donovanosis is a bacterial infection that the bacterium Klebsiella granulomatis causes. The name derives from Donovan bodies, which are cells present in people with the infection.
It affects the genital area, causing red, painless ulcers that bleed easily. Donovanosis is a sexually transmissible disease.
