About brucellosis
Brucellosis is a bacterial disease caused by various Brucella species, which mainly infect cattle, pigs, goats, sheep and dogs. Most cases in humans are caused by drinking unpasteurised milk or eating unpasteurised cheese from infected goats or sheep. It causes flu-like symptoms such as fever, weakness and and weight loss.
