Email us if your enquiry concerns the rules and regulations of fees and accommodation costs for residential aged care. Emails unrelated to this topic will not receive a response.

We can answer enquiries about the rules and regulations of: 

  • the basic daily fee 
  • means tested care fees 
  • accommodation payments, including maximum permissible interest rate (MPIR) and base interest rate (BIR) 
  • refundable deposit refunds
  • additional service fees
  • extra service fees
  • applications for an extension to the time to enter into an accommodation agreement&n
  • pre-1 July 2014 residential care fees, including income tested fees, accommodation bonds and charges.

Aged Care Means Assessment Forms 

We cannot accept aged care means assessment forms. These must be submitted to Services Australia. Any submissions received will not be forwarded on. 

Fee advice letters 

We cannot access aged care records to resolve fee issues. Care recipients with questions or concerns about their fee advice letters should contact Services Australia
