Committees and groups

The Advisory Committee on Vaccines (ACV) provides independent medical and scientific advice to the Minister for Health and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) advises the Minister for Health and Aged Care on the National Immunisation Program (NIP) and other immunisation issues.

The CDNA provides national public health coordination and leadership, particularly around disease surveillance. It supports best practice for the prevention and control of communicable diseases.

The National Immunisation Committee (NIC) is a subcommittee of the Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA) and provides advice on the National Immunisation Program (NIP).

The COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments for Australia – Science and Industry Technical Advisory Group provided advice to the Australian Government on the purchasing and manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.
