Purpose
The forum brought together more than 80 experts, clinicians, service providers, academics and people with lived experience to discuss how to improve access to mental health care for all Australians.
The forum follows the release of the Better Access evaluation that found some people cannot access the mental health care they need.

The forum was hosted by the Minister for Health and Aged Care, the Hon Mark Butler MP, and supported by the Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention and the Assistant Minister for Rural and Regional Health, the Hon Emma McBride MP and Dr Ruth Vine, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Mental Health
