If vaping is holding our fitness goals back …
Why are we still doing this?
Let’s join the thousands quitting vapes.
Authorised by the Australian Government, Canberra.
We just did it casually at the start.
But we started buying our own.
And doing it in private.
Or was it in secret?
When did it become compulsive?
Necessary, even?
See ya!
Maybe it’s time to ask:
Why are we still doing this?
Let’s join the thousands quitting vapes.

Rather than trying to say all the right things the first time, consider your conversations a work in progress.
Like trying to quit vaping, it might take a few goes, but once you start talking to each other, it is easier to keep talking openly.
During the conversation, remember to listen actively, provide accurate information and don't exaggerate.
Talk about peer pressure, health and take time to explain your concerns.

G'day, I'm Col Pearse, two time Paralympian, bronze and silver medallist at the Tokyo and Paris Paralympics. I want to talk about something a little different. As a high performing athlete, it's super important that we take good care of our body day in, day out. An important part of swimming is my lung capacity, and by choosing not to vape, I'm increasing my chances of performing at the highest levels when it matters. Vaping can cause harm not only now, but in the long run. And those harms consist of breathing difficulties, lung damage, coughing. And nicotine's a highly addictive substance which can affect your mood and your performance in and out of the water. If you're currently vaping, it's always a good time to quit. Don't let peer pressure push you into anything you don't want to do. It can be hard to say no at first, but back yourself, and your friends are there to help and support you along the journey. You might even help them say no as well. For more information and resources to help you quit vaping, download the My QuitBuddy app and visit health.gov.au/vaping.
Hey, I'm Chloe and I want to share something important about vaping that's really close to my heart as a musician.
A lot of people I know, especially in the music industry, vape because they think it helps manage stress.
And I get it; life can be overwhelming, mental health is a theme in my music.
But the truth is the nicotine in the vapes is actually addictive and can make you feel more stressed and anxious in the long run.
I've spoken to so many people who are hooked on nicotine and they'll tell you the same thing - they're tired of it, they're sick of depending on it and it doesn't even make them feel good anymore.
Quitting vaping can actually help improve your physical and your mental health, helping you feel better overall.
As a singer, taking care of my voice is everything.
It's how I make my living, it's how I express myself, but vaping, it can seriously damage your lungs and your mental health.
If you're trying to quit, you're not alone.
There are so many resources out there to help you, like the My QuitBuddy app and Quitline, or even just talking to a friend or a doctor that supports you.
It's all about taking that first step and realising that you don't have to do it alone.
