When this privacy notice applies
This privacy notice applies to the Re-engaging Volunteers into Residential Aged Care Facilities program.
This notice explains how we (the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care) manage personal information to meet our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We collect information about you, including your:
- first and last name
- position title
- phone number (optional).
Why we collect this information
We collect personal information for the purpose of providing the Volunteering Australia state and territory peak body in your jurisdiction with information to liaise with you and to match your organisation with volunteers.
If we can’t collect your information
If you do not or are unable to provide your personal information the department will be unable to inform the Volunteering Australia state and territory peak body in your jurisdiction with your details and they will be unable to contact your organisation to match your organisation with volunteers within the program.
Who we disclose your personal information to
We disclose your personal information to the Volunteering Australia state and territory peak body of your jurisdiction.
We will not disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.
How you can access or correct your information
The department’s privacy policy contains information about how you may access and seek correction of personal information about you that is held by the department.
Concerns and complaints
The department’s privacy policy contains information about how you may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or the Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code and how the department will deal with complaints.
