You may need other vaccines not provided through the NIP or state and territory immunisation programs, such as vaccines for:
- people who work in certain jobs and industries
- people who are travelling to certain countries
You can buy extra vaccines privately when you need to. Talk to your doctor if you think you or someone in your care may need extra vaccines.

Australian Immunisation Handbook
Information on all vaccines available in Australia can be found in the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
The National Immunisation Program funds many of the vaccines. The Handbook may recommend vaccines that are not available free under the NIP.
