How we issue and receive invoices

eInvoicing for suppliers

eInvoicing, using the Peppol framework, is our default invoicing method for suppliers. It provides:

  • faster payment processing
  • better security
  • increased standardisation.

eInvoicing for customers

We are implementing the capability to send eInvoices to customers and expect to complete this work in 2026. Contact us for more information.

Payment methods

You can pay invoices we issue using any of the following methods:

  • credit or debit card
  • electronic fund transfer (EFT)
  • bill payment service (BPAY)
  • cheque.

When paying the following organisations, please use whatever methods they specify on their invoices:

To check which payment method is right:

  • check your invoice for all available payment options
  • contact us and quote your invoice number.

Paying by credit or debit card

Card payments are made through the Australian Government’s EasyPay Online service provided by the Reserve Bank of Australia and processed by ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions.

Type of cards accepted:

  • Mastercard credit and debit cards
  • Visa credit and debit cards
  • AMEX cards.

You will receive a receipt number after payment. Payments may appear as CWLTH DEPT HEALTH or TGA on your statement.

If the service is unavailable use an alternative payment method or contact us during business hours and quote your invoice number.

Privacy notice

Information we collect

We may collect personal information about you, from ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, in relation to any payments you make via the Government’s EasyPay Online service. It includes information about the payment:

  • transaction
  • status.

We need this information to confirm receipt of any payments you make using EasyPay Online.

Who we disclose personal information to

We will not disclose personal information related to payments made through EasyPay Online to overseas recipients.

  • verify or process a transaction
  • send you information about a transaction

Security

The protection and security of information that you provide through the Government EasyPay Online service is very important to us and strict industry standards are always applied.

Payment information that you enter when using their site is processed and stored in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). This standard has been developed by the PCI Security Standards Council which is an open global forum responsible for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security standards for account data protection.

The information that you provide is protected using Secured Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption. You will notice that the URL in your browser is HTTPS instead of HTTP. This is because this security feature has been invoked. Your browser may also display a lock symbol on the bottom taskbar line to indicate that a secure website is being used.

The storage of payment information on their host server is protected from external networks by the deployment of firewalls and proxy servers.
