About the webinar

We are collaborating with Dementia Training Australia to host an 8-part series designed to help aged care providers and designers understand and apply the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines.

The existing stock of aged care homes includes older buildings that no longer meet the needs and expectations of older people. This session explores how existing buildings can be improved through staged work including small and relatively inexpensive projects that can achieve incremental improvement.

In this last webinar in the series, you will learn about:

  • practical strategies for transforming ‘institutional’ environments within existing building footprints
  • how to prioritise and stage projects to achieve incremental improvements over time
  • the importance of staff training.
