About the webinar
We collaborated with Dementia Training Australia to host an 8-part series designed to help aged care providers and designers understand and apply the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines.
The existing stock of aged care homes included older buildings that no longer met the needs and expectations of older people. This session explored how existing buildings could be improved through staged work, including small and relatively inexpensive projects that could achieve incremental improvement.
In this last webinar in the series, participants learned about:
- practical strategies for transforming ‘institutional’ environments within existing building footprints
- how to prioritise and stage projects to achieve incremental improvements over time
- the importance of staff training.
