About the webinar
We are collaborating with Dementia Training Australia to host an 8-part series designed to help aged care providers and designers understand and apply the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines.
A complementary resource to the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines is being developed on designing culturally safe aged care homes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This has been co-designed with older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their families and carers, the aged care sector and design experts.
In this seventh webinar in the series, you will learn about:
- designing culturally safe aged care homes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- culturally safe, trauma-aware and healing informed design
- strategies for community engagement
