About the webinar

We are collaborating with Dementia Training Australia to host an 8-part series designed to help aged care providers and designers understand and apply the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines.

The guidelines are structured around four principles and aim to:

  • help older people stay independent as they age
  • create familiar, home-like spaces that are also safe places to work
  • provide easy access to the outdoors
  • support connection with community.

In this second webinar in the series, you will learn about:

  • how environment impacts behaviour
  • the Principles and Guidelines and the importance of a well-designed environment
  • concerns from an older person.
