About the webinar
In response to the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce recommendations, the Government announced a Review of General Practice Incentives to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing general practice incentives. These include the Practice Incentives Program and Workforce Incentives Program.
We established an Expert Advisory Panel, comprising of experts from primary care, First Nations, health economics, and health systems perspectives to:
- oversee the review
- make recommendations for a phased approach to implement a blended payment model system with a focus on multidisciplinary care.
The Expert Advisory Panel completed their draft report in early July. We will consult on the emerging recommendations throughout August and early September. Feedback will help inform the finalisation of the review.
This webinar will include presentations from Mark Roddam on the panel’s recommendations. Dr Masha Somi will facilitate questions and answers.
This webinar will have the same information as presented at the webinar held 12 August.
