About the webinar

The Efficient Funding of Chemotherapy (EFC) Review final report, published in August 2023, examines current EFC Program arrangements; associated practices within the supply chain and whether the EFC Program supports patient access to chemotherapy medicines in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

The EFC Review Final Report includes 24 recommendations ranging from short, medium- and long-term initiatives from nine key themes. The Department of Health and Aged Care will undertake further consultation should any of the recommendations be considered to ensure continued and improved access to safe, high-quality cancer medicines in Australia.

This webinar will include discussions from the EFC Review Team – Professor Sanchia Aranda, Professor Richard De Abreu Lourenço, and Dr Mark Thomas with time for questions and answers on the EFC Review Final Report.
