National Joint Replacement Registry Cost Recovery Implementation Statement

This statement describes how the Department of Health and Aged Care recovers the costs of administering the National Joint Replacement Registry.

This CRIS provides information on how the Department of Health and Aged Care (the Department) implements cost recovery for Commonwealth funding provided to the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA). The AOA administers the National Joint Replacement Registry (NJRR).

The NJRR improves and maintains the quality of care for individuals receiving joint replacement surgery.

This statement:

  • reports financial and non-financial performance information
  • outlines legislative changes
  • provides financial forecast and details of cost recovery arrangements for 2024-25.
