National Bowel Cancer Screening Program – Result letter: Positive

This letter is sent to people who have done the test to tell them their result was positive – and what they need to do next. A positive result does not always mean you have bowel cancer.

People who have done the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program test and have a positive result will receive this notification letter. It clearly explains that their faecal occult blood test was positive.

They are advised to make an appointment to see their GP as soon as possible and provided with information about having a colonoscopy as their GP is likely to recommend they have one.
