Hearing Services Program: Minimum specifications for subsidised devices report

The National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) evaluated the Hearing Services Program devices and their features. NAL consulted with device suppliers and made recommendations to update the minimum specifications for subsidised devices.

This report includes recommendations to: 

  • Expand the number of features in subsidised devices
  • Update device categories
  • Fund extra technologies 

These are recommendations and if implemented, will come into effect when the new Hearing Services Online portal is online.
