Exploratory Research on School Based Immunisation – Qualitative Research Report

This research was conducted to further understand the knowledge base for adolescents and their parents around school-based vaccinations.

This research was conducted to:

  • understand the knowledge base for adolescents and their parents around school-based vaccinations and the availability of catch up vaccinations up to 19 years of age.
  • examine the current knowledge and attitudes around vaccinations administered at school; determines information sources; and identifies any information gaps.
  • provide recommendations for messaging and channels to encourage the uptake of vaccines provided on the National Immunisation Program for adolescents.
