Budget 2019–20: More Choices for a Longer Life – further enhancing safety in aged care

The Government will improve compliance in aged care by further enhancing the quality, safety and integrity of home care packages – including audits and reviews of quality and safety with providers. It will develop end-to-end compliance arrangements that will ramp up quality, safety and fraud risk protections around the rapidly expanding Home Care Packages Program.

This initiative funds the design and costing of an end-to-end compliance framework. It is central to maintaining quality, safety and integrity in aged care.
