What to do after the death of an approved pharmacist.

What you need to know

Under section 91 of the National Health Act 1953, an executor or administrator of the estate of a deceased pharmacist can apply to continue supplying PBS medicines for a limited time. This is until there is a grant of probate or letters of administration. 

How to apply

Please notify us by email as soon as possible after the death of an approved pharmacist.  

We will provide you with advice on what to do next based on the approved person(s) details in our records,  

We may ask you to complete one or more of the forms below, depending on the circumstances:    

Submit the forms and any related documents through the PBS Approved Suppliers Portal
