About My Aged Care

My Aged Care is the starting point to access Australian Government-funded aged care services and information.

Older people, their families and carers can access My Aged Care information through the website, by phone or in person.

Once you register with My Aged Care, you can access your client record through your My Aged Care Online Account.

Health professionals can also refer patients to My Aged Care.

Aged care assessors and approved service providers have portals to manage their service information, assessments and referrals.

Why My Aged Care is important

The number of older people aged 65 or over, or aged 50 or over for First Nations people, is growing.

We expect it to more than double in the next 35 to 40 years. This means that more people will need aged care services.

If you’re an older person looking to access aged care services, the first step is to check whether you are eligible, then apply for an assessment. Or you can contact My Aged Care for assistance.
