DoctorConnect

DoctorConnect provides information to international medical graduates and their employers. It aims to help international medical graduates understand the steps required to work as a doctor in Australia, where they can work and restrictions on billing patients under Medicare.

The Visas for GPS program ends on 16 September. From this date, International Medical Graduates (IMGs) looking to work in Australian primary care do not need to submit a Health Workforce Certificate (HWC) as a part of their visa application.

HR Plus will accept applications for a HWC until 5 September, and 13 September 2023 for HWC Exemptions. For more information, please contact HR Plus (visasforgps@hrplustas.com.au)
