Applying the Act to partnerships and unincorporated associations

This sets out the specific rules about how the Act applies to partnerships and unincorporated associations when they are registered providers.

Chapter 8 sets out how the Act applies to partnerships and unincorporated associations.

[Chapter 8 – Part 4]

These are just 2 kinds of ‘entities’ under the Act that can be registered as a provider. As these types of entities have unique structures, this part of the Act sets out how certain provisions of the Act apply to these entities and how the people who form part of the entity can be held responsible under the Act.

For example, a registered provider could be a business partnership made up of 10 people. This part of the Act explains who can be held liable if 2 of those people breach a civil penalty provision.
