8 April 2026 - Information for Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) approved suppliers, including how to become an approved supplier and the PBS Approved Suppliers Portal.

14 January 2026 - From 1 January 2026, the maximum cost of PBS prescription medicines reduced from $31.60 to $25 for Medicare card holders. The concessional co-payment will remain at $7.70 until 2030. This change helps make medicines more affordable and supports Australians with cost-of-living pressures.

23 June 2023 - We help to keep the cost of medicines down for Australians by subsidising many medicines under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Repatriation PBS (RPBS). The PBS safety net provides additional support to those who need lots of medicines.

14 January 2026 - There are now more ways to save on prescription medicines through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). From 1 January 2026, the PBS patient co-payment will be $25 for Medicare card holders, down from $31.60. If you have a concession card, the co-payment will continue to be $7.70 until 2030.
