Updated Support at Home program manual

The fourth edition of the program manual is now available to help in-home aged care providers get ready for 1 November.

The Support at Home program manual will help you understand your responsibilities and how care under the new program should be delivered. 

In this edition, all placeholder sections and legislative references have been completed. It also includes: 

  • updated classification amounts 
  • information on reimbursements for services and evidence for claiming 
  • details on interim funding and managing unspent funds from the Home Care Packages Program 
  • an explanation on how Support at Home and the Commonwealth Home Support Program will work together.

Training 

Online training can also help you and your workers get ready for Support at Home. 

We’ve added 2 new training modules: 

  • Care management – explains the role of care partners, provider care management accounts and care management claiming. 
  • Self-management – explains the role of provider organisations and care partners in self-management, as well as self-management financials. 

The training is for aged care managers, operations staff, workers and care partners. Our tips can help you choose the right training for you.
