The Hon Emma McBride MP, Assistant Minister for Rural and Regional Health, has issued the Statement of Expectations for the National Rural Health Commissioner for 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028. The Statement sets out the Australian Government’s expectations for the Commissioner’s evidence-based advice and system leadership to improve health access, workforce sustainability and outcomes for people living in rural, regional and remote communities.
