Research projects to fight antimicrobial resistance and tuberculosis in the Pacific region

Four new Australian research projects totalling more than $8.3 million will tackle the threat of drug-resistant tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance in the Pacific region.

Drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) are major emerging health threats to Pacific Island countries.

The Medical Research Future Fund’s Global Health Initiative is funding 4 Australian research projects to address these health threats.
