Registrations now open for the National Medicines Symposium 2024

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has opened registrations for the National Medicines Symposium 2024.

This year’s theme for the National Medicines Symposium is ‘Ageing Well: Safe Medicines, Better Lives’. 

As Australia’s population ages, we need to manage the appropriate use of medicines. 

The symposium will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss innovative strategies for:

  • enhancing medication safety
  • reducing polypharmacy
  • improving the quality of life for all Australians.

It will discuss the challenges of how to balance: 

  • managing disease with medicines
  • avoiding medication-related problems.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care will host the symposium on Tuesday 19 November 2024, 10 am to 3 pm AEDT.
