We are launching the Regional, Rural and Remote Home Care Workforce Support Program which focuses on building the home care workforce in specific regional locations.

The program delivers targeted support to aged care providers to help them attract, train and retain home care workers.

It will also support an extra 4,000 personal care workers to develop their skills and training required to work in regional, rural and remote locations.

Three organisations have been appointed to deliver support services and initiatives to providers in selected regions across Australia until June 2027:

  • Ageing Australia (Tasmania and Victoria)
  • Skills Generation (New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia)
  • Crest NT Ltd (Norther Territory)

Find out if you are eligible or find more information about the program.
