Participate in a menu and mealtime review

Residential aged care homes can express interest in receiving a free, onsite menu and mealtime review from an accredited practising dietitian. The review will help you meet the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and improve your food and dining services. Express your interest by 21 September.

Residential aged care homes can express interest in receiving a free menu and mealtime review. The Menu and Mealtime Review program will deliver up to 300 reviews in the 2026-27 financial year for homes that have not previously received a review through the program.

The reviews will help homes to: 

The program will prioritise: 

  • homes under the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program 
  • homes with a score lower than 3 on the Residents’ Experience Survey question, ‘Do you like the food here?’ 
  • homes in small rural towns, remote communities, and very remote communities 
  • smaller homes (with 60 or less residents) 
  • small providers (1 to 2 services) and medium providers (3 to 10 services).
