New training is now available to help in-home aged care providers and their workforce provide high quality care under Support at Home.

The new Support at Home program begins on 1 July.

The training is designed to help you understand your responsibilities under the Support at Home program and your obligations under the new Aged Care Act.

This self-paced training consists of two learning packages:

  • Learning Package 1: Program Overview Learning Package - A comprehensive overview of the fundamental elements of the program. Suitable for staff at all levels.
  • Learning Package 2: Delivering Services Modules - An in-depth exploration of topics including:
    • assessment process and service delivery
    • service agreements, care plans and budget planning
    • short-term pathways
    • claiming and payments.

The training has been built around key personas that reflect common roles in the aged care sector. Guidance has been provided to help you identify which training package is most relevant to you and your workforce.

Learning Package 1 is available now. Module 1 of Learning Package 2 is also available, with additional modules being released very soon.

Access the training packages here.
