Monash University and Atisama Therapeutics will receive MRFF funding to clinically develop a novel inhaled RNA medicine for chronic lung disease.
The new innovation aims to go beyond managing symptoms of lung disease, by slowing functional decline, preventing disease exacerbations and improving long-term outcomes.
A nebuliser device delivers the RNA therapy directly into the lungs—suppressing the inflammation and scarring that drives disease progression.
