$61 million for clinical trials, including trials for rare cancer, rare disease and unmet needs

Clinical trials test the effectiveness of therapies and treatments, and create the evidence needed to improve clinical practice.  

Up to $61 million is available under the 2025 Clinical Trials Activity grant opportunity for: 

• early stage, small-scale projects that aim to treat and manage rare cancer, rare disease or unmet needs 
• clinical trials that support the delivery of effective and high value care 
• prevention clinical trials. 

Funding is from the MRFF’s $750 million Clinical Trials Activity initiative.
