More time to apply for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Advisory Council

The time to express your interest to join the Advisory Council has been extended.

The Australian Government is seeking experienced and professionally diverse individuals to join the Aged Care Quality and Safety Advisory Council (Advisory Council). 

The time to apply has been extended, you now have until 19 July 2026.  

Advisory Council members monitor the performance of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, help shape strategic priorities and provide independent advice to the: 

  • Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner 
  • Complaints Commissioner 
  • Minister for Aged Care and Seniors.  

The Advisory Council plays an important role in public governance that affects older people, their families and carers. 

The Minister for Aged Care and Seniors appoints members on a part-time basis for up to 4 years. 

Apply before 11.30pm AEST on Sunday 19 July 2026
