More than 3,700 practices across Australia are now participating in the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP).

The BBPIP provides additional financial support to practices that bulk bill all Medicare-eligible patients for all eligible services. This initiative aims to reduce out-of-pocket costs for patients and improve access to primary care services.

Participation in the program continues to grow as practices take up the opportunity to support bulk billing for eligible patients.

By 2030, nine out of 10 GP services are expected to be bulk billed, saving patients hundreds of dollars in out-of-pocket costs.

Under the BBPIP, participating practices receive a 12.5% incentive payment on Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) benefits paid from eligible services.

Practices can learn more and register for the program by visiting our website.
