Dementia Action Week runs from 21 September to 27 September 2026. This year's theme, 'It's time to talk about dementia', encourages Australians to have open conversations about dementia and its impact.

Talking about dementia can help reduce stigma, increase understanding and encourage people to seek information and support sooner. Open conversations can also help people living with dementia, and those who support them, feel more connected and less alone.

Health professionals can also access free dementia training, accredited and non-accredited education, and continuing professional development opportunities through Dementia Training Australia.
