The Australian government funds organisations across the country to deliver advocacy supports and services for individuals with disability and their supporters.

Disability advocacy plays a vital role in protecting the rights of people with disability. It empowers individuals to speak up, understand their rights, and access the support they need.

As highlighted by the Disability Royal Commission, advocacy services need to be easier to find and use.

We are looking at how to make this system stronger, fairer and more accessible. To help us do this, we want to hear from:

  • people with disability
  • families, carers and supporters
  • advocates and service providers.

You can have your say until 16 January 2026.

To find out more and to have your say visit the consultation page.

Accessible formats, including Easy Read and Auslan, are available to support your participation.

Your feedback will help shape the future of disability advocacy support in Australia.
