Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and reaching out for help can be daunting. Medicare Mental Health services are a good place to start, offering free and confidential support to anyone in Australia, with no referral or diagnosis required.
The services can help individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or worried about themselves or someone they care about – whether that is a family member, friend or colleague.
Medicare Mental Health services are available in person, over the phone or online. Individuals can connect in the way that best supports their needs.

Centres provide a welcoming place where everyone can access free mental health information, services and supports from qualified mental health professionals. No appointment or referral is needed. - Medicare Mental Health Phone Service
The free Medicare Mental Health Phone Service is available Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm (excluding public holidays). Call 1800 595 212 from anywhere in Australia to speak with a trained professional. - Kids Hubs
Medicare Mental Health Kids Hubs offer a safe and welcoming space for children aged 12 years and under experiencing social and mental health challenges. Families and carers can also access free support and guidance.
