From 1 October 2025, direct-care residential aged care workers, some home care workers and registered and enrolled nurses working in aged care will receive an increase to their award wage. These increases are occurring as part of the Fair Work Commission Aged Care Work Value Case decisions.

Providers will receive funding to support meeting increased award wages and on-costs through a range of existing funding arrangements and a new grant opportunity.

Information on the new award rates, including pay guides and a pay and conditions tool, is available on the Fair Work Ombudsman’s website

More information on the funding the Government is providing to support these award wage increases is available at Better and fairer wages for aged care workers
