The Residential-based Aged Care Services and Staff Accommodation Grant Opportunity (GO7524) closed at 2pm AEST on Tuesday 20 May 2025.
Up to $300 million was made available to fund infrastructure projects that will maintain or improve access to quality residential-based aged care services in:
- regional, rural and remote communities (MM 2 to MM 7)
 - metropolitan locations (MM 1) where these services will provide specialised or targeted care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
 
In addition, staff accommodation projects that support residential-based aged care service provision in regional, rural and remote locations (MM 2 to MM 7) were also eligible for funding.
Results
This was a highly competitive opportunity, with demand far exceeding available funding. In total, 367 applications sought over $2.4 billion for the $300 million made available.
The opportunity allocated a total of $300 million for 66 projects.
