Additional support for COVID-19 vaccine research projects

The Australian Government is providing almost $6 million for the research and development of 3 Australian COVID-19 vaccines.

This funding from the Medical Research Future Fund's Coronavirus Research Response will support:

the development of protein and mRNA vaccines
a clinical trial to test the safety effectiveness of a novel DNA-based COVID-19 vaccine.
