Congratulations to the 2026 Senior Australian of the Year, Professor Henry Brodaty AO.
Professor Brodaty is a pioneer in dementia diagnosis, treatment and prevention. His work is driven by his father’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease at just 52 years old. In 2012, Professor Brodaty co-founded the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing. He has also led internationally significant research that enhanced the world’s understanding of dementia risk and prevention. Professor Brodaty’s lifetime of work is reshaping dementia care and changing the lives of many Australians.
