Celebrations are set to come alive on 23 July 2022, commemorating the start of the Green and Gold Runway. With 10 years until the Brisbane 2032 Games, you’re invited to #HaveAGo at Olympic and Paralympic sports. Visit Brisbane’s South Bank, the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast, to try out an array of different sports.

Australia has a rich history of hosting world-class international sporting events. The Brisbane 2032 Games will be Australia’s third time around. This follows the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games and the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Leading into the Brisbane 2032 Games, Australia is set to host a variety of major events to continue building our story. This presents an unprecedented opportunity to inspire the next generation of athletes in our own backyard.

    • FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022
    • FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023
    • Netball World Cup 2027
    • Rugby Women’s World Cup 2029.
  • Inclusive events:
    • Virtus Oceania Asia Games 2022
    • World Transplant Games 2023
  • Men’s and women’s combined events:
    • UCI Road World Championships 2022
    • World Athletics Cross Country Championships 2023.

These events will showcase the determination of our athletes as they strive for excellence. All while enhancing our reputation as a leading sporting event destination.
